Steve Sweatpants Spring/Summer 2021 Collection

Steven John Irby (a.k.a. Steve Sweatpants) was born in East Flatbush, Brooklyn and raised in Jamaica, Queens. Irby is a photographer, creative consultant, aspiring director, and more. Irby’s work insists on the divinity of everyday moments. His inspirations include his family, the streets, and the music of Marvel vs. Capcom 2. He has provided work for Sony, Nike, Cartier, The New Yorker, and more. He was honored by the city of New York in 2020 for his efforts in the arts and his local community. He’s also the unofficial electric slide and spades champion, and legend has it he is still undefeated in Mario Kart.

The mantra “DON’T LIVE TO PAY YOUR RENT” was told to him by his father, and has been a talking point in Irby’s Ted Talk. It now is the mantra that he lives by and wants everyone to be cognizant of.

This shirt is in collaboration with studio 525 for the gallery event held called Life & Times of Stevesweatpants.
